NWS Annual General Meeting 2021

We held our Annual General Meeting remotely on 17th November 2021. A total of 37 attendees made up of staff, board members, voting members and coordinators were welcomed by our Chair Stewart Prodger.

The formal business of receiving the report of trustees and accounts for the year ending 31st March 2021, the presentation of financial report, adoption of the final accounts, the appointment of independent examiner of accounts, the voting of new Board members Easton Millar, Kathryn Shanks, Ron McKail and Derek Hart and the welcome of new co-opted trustees Valerie Arbuckle and Stuart McNiven took place.

This was followed by excellent presentations from Liz Lumsden, Community Safety Manager, from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Scotland who presented on “a day in the life of a Community Safety Manager” and Kirsten Halliday, Investigator, Trading Standards Scotland who presented on the “Pandemic of Scams”

Both presentations were very well received and stimulated further questions and discussion with the attendees.

A copy of the presentation slides from the presentation by Liz can be found here A Day in the Life of CSM
